Thomas Burgstaller

Thomas Burgstaller (born 9 January 1980 in Linz) is an Austrian football player at the position of a defender.

Career

Burgstaller began his career as a youth player at SK St. Magdalena, before the third division side FC Blau- Weiss Linz changed in the summer of 2000. In 2003, he celebrated with the residents of Linz the title in the Regional Center, but missed promotion to the second-class First League in the relegation matches against BSV Bad Bleiberg.

In the summer of 2003, Thomas Burgstaller moved to Rapid Vienna. In the Bundesliga, he came in his first season for the Austrian record holder with 19 missions, scoring two goals. In the following season 2004/ 05 he celebrated his first Rapid Austrian championship, but retired in the cup final against FK Austria Wien cruciate ligament injury and fell by the breach extended periods of time. In May 2007, Castle Stallers contract was not renewed at Rapid, he switches to the cooperation partners FC Lustenau 07 At the end of the 2007/2008 season he moved free transfer to SV Ried and stood there for two seasons under contract.

On 6 May 2010 Sturm Graz was the obligation of the central defender known. Burgstaller signed in Graz a two-year contract with an option for a third year. At the end of the season he was for the second time after 2005 Austrian football champions. Since the summer of 2012 Burgstaller plays for Bundesliga Kapfenberg SV relegated.
