Thomas Edward Cliffe Leslie

Thomas Edward Cliffe Leslie (* 1827 in County Wexford, † January 27, 1882 in Belfast ) was a British economist.

Thomas Edward Cliffe Leslie studied in Dublin and London, 1848 lawyer and 1853 Professor of Political Economy at Queen's College in Belfast.

He mostly wrote short essays, of which the main two collections: Land system in Ireland, England and the continent (1870 ) and essays in political and moral philosophy (1879 ), have been united by himself.

1871 Leslie fought in his work Financial reform the indirect tax. Since a number of years had a greater work in Leslie work, which should shed light on the political economy from the historical point of view. But was the manuscript, while Leslie 1872 the continent traveled, due to an unfortunate coincidence lost.
