Thomas Engert

Thomas Engert ( born October 23, 1965 in Neuss ) is a German pool player.

He is a pro in 1995 since February and won, among others, the World Pool Masters twice (2004 & 2007). He is also a seven -time winner of Pool Billiards Championship; four times in the 9-ball competition (1989, 1990, 1991, 2004) and three times in 14 and 1 endless ( 1993, 1994, 2001). In 8- ball, he is also four-time European Vice Champion (1988, 1993, 1994, 2000).

In the Euro Tour, he won nine tournaments so far (most recently the German Open 2008 ). His best result at a World Cup was the second place at the 2006 World Cup 14 and 1. In the 8-Ball Championships 2007 he reached at least the quarterfinals.

Engert represented Europe in the Mosconi Cup three times ( 2000, 2004 and 2006) and won numerous German Championships.

His nickname in the pool scene is The Lean Machine.
