Thomas Fuller

Thomas Fuller was the eldest son of the pastor Thomas Fuller in Aldwinkle, Northamptonshire. He was born in the rectory of his father and baptized on 19 June 1608. Dr. John Davenant, who later became Bishop of Salisbury, was his uncle and godfather. According to John Aubrey Thomas Fuller was a boy full of intellect and wit, which had a very good memory, which he coached aware. At thirteen, he was inducted into the Queens ' College, Cambridge. His cousin, Edward Davenant, where he worked as a tutor. Fuller was very successful and he received the B. A. semester 1624-1625 and M. A. in July 1628. In June of the same year his uncle was a Benefiziat in Salisbury. There his father, who died the following year, held the canonry held.

The parishes of Broad Windsor, Dorset, and then directing the diocese of Bristol ( 1634) showed his rise; and on June 11, 1635, he led the operation of the BD in from Broad Windsor. Here he wrote The History of the Holy Warre ( 1639 ), the story of the Crusades, and The Holy State and the prophane State (1642 ). This work, one of his most successful works, describes the holy state consisting of the family and the profession. The work dictates behavior and etiquette, as well as ideal indicator for different occupations and ways of life.
