Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio State Historic Site

The Thomas Hart Benton Home and Studio State Historic Site is located in Kansas City in the U.S. state of Missouri. The 1300 m² State Park consists of the building where the painter Thomas Hart Benton lived from 1939 until his death on January 19, 1975, worked and taught. 1977 State Historic Site was established in 1980 and the building on the National Register of Historic Places.

The half of the two -story house in Victorian style was redesigned by the artist in the early 1940s, according to his needs. At Benton's lifetime, there developed a cultural and creative hub for artists, architects, poets and politicians.

The studio was left in its original state with all kinds of utensils, coffee pots full of brush and a mounted canvas. Finished works of the painter can be seen in several places in the house.
