Thomas Kempe (footballer)

Thomas Kempe ( born March 17, 1960 in Möllen ) is a former German football player.

Career

Before Kempe 1979 professional was, he played in the TV Voerde. Kempe was invited and obliged by the mediation of his youth coach for a trial at MSV Duisburg. He stood in 391 Bundesliga games for MSV Duisburg, VfB Stuttgart and VfL Bochum (42 goals) on the grass and became German champion VfB Stuttgart in the 1983 season / 84th The cup final in 1988 with VfL Bochum ( 0-1 against Eintracht Frankfurt) was lost. In June 2006 he became the first division club FC Tauro in Panama City, but returned after only three months back to Germany. Today he works as a player scout for an Austrian company that wants to convey talents from Panama to Europe. He is also a consultant of his sons.

Kempes son Dennis is currently playing for second division side Karlsruher SC and belonged to the squad of the German national team at the U-19 European Championship in 2005 in Northern Ireland. His second son Tobias plays for second division club Dynamo Dresden and took part in the World Youth Championship 2009.
