Thomas Mogensen ( born January 30, 1983 in Odder, Denmark ) is a Danish handball player. He is 1.87 m tall and weighs 98 kg.

Mogensen, who for the SG Flensburg- Handewitt ( shirt number 10) and plays for the Danish national team ( shirt number 2) accrued, may be used in the backcourt flexible, but is planned in Flensburg as backcourt Center.

Career

Thomas Mogensen began in his home town of Odder Odder IGF during the handball game. 2002 him the first division club Viborg HK took them under contract, where he drew attention to himself, so he moved on after only one year to GOG Svendborg TGI top club. There he was in 2005 Danish Cup winner and as a highlight in 2007 Danish title. 2007 now Mogensen joined the German handball league for SG Flensburg- Handewitt where he succeeded his compatriot Joachim Boldsen. Mogensen was voted Denmark's Player of the Year in 2007. In 2012, he won with the SG Flensburg- Handewitt the European Cup Winners' Cup and became German Vice Cup winners - in the final lost Flensburg- Handewitt against THW Kiel.

Thomas Mogensen has been disputed 106 matches for the Danish national team. In 2012, he won the European Championship with the Danish national team in Serbia. With the Danish U17 national team, he won silver at the 2001 European Junior Championships. In summer 2012, he participated in the Olympic Games in London. At the European Championships in 2014 in his own country, he was Vice-European Champion.
