Thomas Perez

Thomas Edward Perez ( born October 7, 1961 in Buffalo, New York State ) is ' Assistant Attorney General of the Civil Rights Division of the ' United States Department of Justice ' ( U.S. Department of Justice ). He is an American politician (Democratic Party), consumer advocate and a lawyer for civil rights ( ' civil rights ' ) are used.

Perez was appointed in the State of Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley to the Minster ' Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation ' ( DLLR ) 2007. He worked there until he was confirmed in October 2009 by the U.S. Senate as ' Assistant Attorney General ' ( as the successor of Wan J. Kim). On 10 March, media reported, U.S. President Barack Obama will nominate Perez soon as ' United States Secretary of Labor ' (= Minister of the United States Department of Labor ). The previous Minister Hilda Solis announced their exit from office in January 2013. This did Obama on March 18, 2013.

Perez's parents are from the Dominican Republic. Perez has spent his entire career in the public service (no change between politics and economy).
