Thomas Ritter

Thomas Ritter ( born October 10, 1967 in Görlitz ) is a former German football player.

In his youth, Thomas Ritter played at the ISG Hagenwerder and from 1980 for Dynamo Dresden. For the 1989/90 season he moved to progress Bischofswerda, where he played six games in the DDR Oberliga.

Later, Knight played in the Bundesliga for Stuttgarter Kickers (1990-1992), at the 1 FC Kaiserslautern ( 1992-1996) and at Karlsruher SC (1996-1999). In total he played 175 Bundesliga games and scored four goals. With the KSC he came to the DFB Cup 1996, where he lost against his former club Kaiserslautern 0-1 to reach the final. Last Thomas Ritter played the Oberliga Eider Büdelsdorf before 2004/ 05 his active career ended after the end of the season. Since he lives in the Schleswig-Holstein town Fockbek, where he played a few more years for the second men's team of FC Fockbek in the circuit class B. After another change of club he came several times in the 2009/10 season in the regional league team ( 6.Liga ) of Rendsburger TSV used.

With the junior representative teams of the GDR Thomas Ritter in 1986 in Scotland U-18 European champion ( 3-1 against Italy) and 1987 third in the Junior World Cup in Chile. In this team, he played in defense, coach was Eberhard Vogel. At its sole use in the German national team came in 1993 with the Knights 5-0 win over Uruguay in Karlsruhe, where he came on in the 87th minute.
