Thomas Rohrbach

Thomas Rohrbach ( born April 4, 1949) is a former German football player.

Rohrbach played in his youth for Bad Hersfeld Hessen and Borussia Fulda. In 1968 he moved to Göttingen 05 in the Regionalliga Nord. For Göttingen, he was first used in the DFB Cup.

During the season 1969/70 he moved to Bundesliga Eintracht Frankfurt. His first league game, he completed on August 15, 1970 against Hamburger SV. A week later, his first goal, he managed a 2-1 victory over Hannover 96 in his first season he was used 22 times. Rohrbach was immediately fixed size to the team of Frankfurt and played in five years, 134 times in the Bundesliga, but he scored 16 goals. His first European Cup match, he played on 12 September 1972 at the UEFA Cup against Liverpool. It was followed by four more UEFA Cup appearances in the season 1974/75, in which he scored two goals. In addition there were a total of 19 missions ( 4 goals) in the DFB Cup, including the final in the season, which was won 3-1 against Hamburger SV. In the semifinals Rohrbach scored the important 2-2 3-2 victory over Bayern Munich. A year later won the Frankfurt Rohrbach again with the DFB Cup.

In 1975, he ventured abroad. First, he went to three years for the Greek club Ethnikos Piraeus, then he moved to Olympiakos Piraeus, with whom he was in 1980 Greek champions.

1980 Rohrbach returned back to Germany aground in the 2nd Bundesliga Süd for SSV Ulm 1846. After 28 second division operations, in which he scored seven goals, he returned in 1981 to his hometown club Hesse Bad Hersfeld. Decay he let his career at FC finally Rhein- Main.
