Thomas Williams (Alabama)

Thomas Williams (* August 11, 1825 near Richmond, Greenville County, Virginia; † April 13, 1903 in Wetumpka, Elmore County, Alabama) was an American lawyer, judge and politician ( Democratic Party).

Career

Thomas Williams attended a private preparatory school and graduated from the University of East Tennessee in Knoxville. He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1852 and then began to practice in Wetumpka. Then he served as justice of the peace acting as well as register at the Chancery. Williams was born in 1872 appointed prison inspector. He was in 1878 a member of the House of Representatives from Alabama. Then he was elected to the 46th U.S. Congress and reelected to the two succeeding U.S. Congresses. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives on 4 March 1879 to 3 March 1885. Then he went to agricultural activities.
