The Thonon Black Panthers are a football team from the French spa town of Thonon -les- Bains, which plays in the French league.

History

The team, founded in 1987, plays since 1990 continuously in the first French league and reached the playoffs several times. One of the greatest successes include the French vice-champion title in 2004 and 2009, when the team was defeated each in the Casque de Diamant against La Courneuve Flash. Internationally, reaching the final of the EFAF Cup 2009, where the team lost the Prague Panthers with 35:12, for the most success.

Up to and including the 2005 season, the Panthers played in the regular season, the split into two divisions French League, Group A, before they play in Group B from 2006.

Since 2005, the Canadian head coach Larry Legault, who is head coach of the French national team at the same time.
