Thorkild Simonsen

Thorkild Simonsen (* July 7, 1926 in Sdr Rubjerg ) is a Danish social democratic politician.

Life

Simonsen was a town councilor in Aarhus from 1966 to 1997 and mayor of that city from January 1, 1982. Both offices Simonsen laid down in 1997. From October 20 1997 to 23 February 2000, he was the Danish Minister of the Interior.
