Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever is the second album by the Texan post-rock band Explosions in the Sky. It was published on 4 September 2001 on Temporary Residence Limited, a record label based in Brooklyn. The band was previously on the label Sad Loud America.

The band came up with the album in the media, as the liner notes of the album, the image of an airplane and the sentence " This plane will crash tomorrow" ( in the original: This Plane Will Crash Tomorrow ) include. The rumor went around that the album was released on September 10, 2001 - one day before the attacks on 11 September 2001, however, the album was released in August. . An interview with the band in Stylus Magazine testifies that the band had the ideas and the artwork for the liner notes a year before the attacks.

The song " Have You Passed Through This Night? " is one of the first songs by Explosions in the Sky, which contains words. This is a sample from the film The Thin Red Line (1998).

The song title " With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept " (Eng.: With tired eyes, tired minds, tired souls we slept ) later became an episode title for an episode in the third season of the American television series One Tree Hill.

The cover of the album, a painting by David Logan, was inspired by the legend of the Angels of Mons. This Angel of Mons should have protected British troops in World War I at the Battle of Mons.
