Three Rivers (District)

Three Rivers is a District in the county of Hertfordshire in England, bordering Greater London and Watford. Council is based in Rickmansworth, significant sights are Abbots Langley, Chorleywood and Maple Cross.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Urban District Rickmansworth and Chorleywood and part of the Watford Rural District. The name Three Rivers derives from the three rivers Chess, Gade and Colne.

Three Rivers is served by the Metropolitan Line of the London Underground; Stations are Chorleywood, Croxley, Moor Park and Rickmansworth.
