Thriving Ivory

Thriving Ivory is an American rock band from San Francisco.

Biography

Clayton Stroope and Scott Jason got to college in San Francisco know and founded in 2002 with three other musicians, the band Thriving Ivory. Through their performances increased their local popularity. They produced an album with the song Angels on the Moon, they had a local radio hit.

In 2007, she got a record deal with the label Wind - Up Records and recorded their self-produced debut scratch. In early 2009 came the album Thriving Ivory topped the U.S. Heatseeker charts and was also successful in the official album charts. Angels on the Moon was released as a single and also placed in the charts. The song sold over half a million times.

Before the release of the second album of bassist Bret Cohune left the band. With the album Through Yourself & Back Again they came again in 2010 in the U.S. album charts, but could not repeat the success of debut.
