Thung Hua Chang District

Amphoe Thung Hua Chang ( Thai อำเภอ ทุ่งหัวช้าง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Lamphun. The Lamphun Province is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise): Amphoe the Li, Ban Hong and Mae Tha of Lamphun Province, as well as OEM Ngam and Thoen of Lampang Province.

History

Ban Hong was established on 1 February 1987 as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ), consisting of three tambon which were cleaved from Li County. On 4 November 1993, the sub-district received the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into three subdistricts (tambon ), which are divided further into 35 villages ( Muban ).

Thung Hua Chang is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district. It consists of parts of the tambon same name.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
