Thung Khao Luang District

Amphoe Thung Khao Luang ( Thai: อำเภอ ทุ่ง เขา หลวง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Roi Et Roi Et The province is located in Isaan, the northeast region of Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Thung Khao Luang borders the following counties (from the south clockwise): Amphoe At Samat to, Thawat Buri and Selaphum. All Amphoe located in the province of Roi Et

The main river of the district is Maenam Chi ( chi flow ).

History

Thung Khao Luang was on 1 July 1997 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the four Tambon Thung Khao Luang, Thöt Thai, Bueng Ngam and Maba were separated from Amphoe Thawat Buri ..

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Administrative units

Amphoe Thung Khao Luang is in five communities ( tambon) divided, in turn, in 50 communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also five - Tambon administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
