TI-InterActive

TI InterActive is a commercial software that has been developed by Texas Instruments a few years ago. This software integrates a word processor with a computer algebra system ( functions as Voyage 200 ). Also you can see a strong grounding in the philosophy of TI graphing calculators, which is expressed in particular by the general functions and the menu structure.

One of the strengths of TI InterActive is its document structure. All visible in a document definitions have an effect on subsequent calculations. Deletes or changes to the definition of a function or variable, then immediately all subsequent calculations, graphs or tables recalculated. In this way you always have a coherent document itself. In this respect, TI InterActive significantly different from other CAS systems such as Derive, MuPad, Maple, etc that do not or ensure this consistency of the document either by entering a new calculation command. The command syntax and operation of TI -Interactive is roughly equivalent to that of the CAS calculator TI89 and TI Voyage 200. To that extent, TI InterActive not be considered as a further development of Derive.

How Derive is not maintained since 2004, TI InterActive from Texas Instruments.

Texas Instruments currently appears to invest all capacity in the development of TI -Nspire. This program, which is present on both handhelds, as well as software that provides a higher degree of cross-linking of graphs, tables and calculations. However, the program is based on the representation of the calculator, which does not seem very handsomely on the computer. In addition, TI -Nspire does not offer the possibility of calculations and integrate graphics into a text.
