Tiago Camilo

Tiago Henrique de Oliveira Camilo ( born May 24, 1982 in Tupã ) is a Brazilian judoka, who won two Olympic medals and 2007 World Champion.

Camilo won the 1998 first the Jugendweltmeisterschft in Moscow and three months later the Junior World Cup in Cali in the 66 -kilogram class. In 2000 he finished the World Cup tournament in Paris the second place in the class up to 73 kg. At the Olympic Games in Sydney in September 2000 he reached the final and was defeated there, the Italian Giuseppe Maddaloni.

After a break in 2004 Camilo returned back to the world class when he took second place in the 81 -kilogram class at the Super World Cup in Hamburg. In 2005, he took second place in the Pan American Championships. In 2007 he won at the Pan American Championships in the 90 -kilogram class in July he won the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro. Two months later, the World Cup also took place in Rio de Janeiro instead, for the title fights Camilo hungry again in the category below 81 kg down and won in this weight class on home soil for the title.
