Tianyuan (Go)

Tian Yuan ( Chinese:天元; Pinyin: Tian Yuan ), literally " the origin of Heaven," is the center of the game board of Go. It is also the name of a go - Tournament for professionals in China, which corresponds to the Tengen of Nihon Kiins in Japan.

Overview

The Tian Yuan is the Chinese Go Association, the Zhongguo Qiyuan, organized and sponsored by two newspapers. The preliminary rounds are a direct Ko Tournament, while the final title fight between challenger and title holder consists of a series of three games. The tournament is endowed with 50,000 CHY ( EUR 5,000 ).
