Tibellus oblongus is a web spider from the family of running spiders ( Philodromidae ).

Features

Tibellus oblongus reaches a body length of 8 to 10 millimeters. Tibellus oblongus is to be distinguished from a Streckerspinne due to the somewhat scaly, clear coat. Occurrence

Tibellus oblongus occurs in Europe. It is to be found both in wet and dry locations. However, they always preferred well sunlit places, such as wet meadows, riverbanks or heaths, here particularly on sandy ground.

Endangering

The species is weitberbreitet, in suitable habitats often, and is classified as " safely " in Germany in the Red List.

Way of life
