Tiberiu Olah

Tiberiu Olah ( born January 2, 1928 in Arpasel, Bihor county, † October 2, 2002 in Târgu Mureş, Mureş county ) was a Romanian composer.

Olah studied from 1946 at the Conservatory of Cluj and from 1949 to 1954 at the Moscow Conservatory. He worked since 1958 as a lecturer and later as a professor at the Conservatory of Bucharest.

He composed orchestral and chamber works, in which he initially looked at Bela Bartok, George Enescu and Igor Stravinsky, and later at the Second Viennese School, including a five -piece, the sculptor Constantin Brancusi devoted cycle, as well as cantatas, an oratorio, choral and film music.
