Tibro Municipality

Tibro is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Västergötland. Center of the municipality is Tibro.

History

Prior to the merger of Älvsborgs County, Skaraborgs Göteborgs och Bohus Lan and Lan to Västra Götaland County Tibro belonged to the province of Skaraborg County.

Economy

The community is known for its furniture industry, since about 80 companies are located here in the industry. The proximity to Skovde, located just 18 kilometers away, many workers commute there.
