Tibro

Tibro is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Västergötland. The town is the capital of the municipality of the same name.

First mention is the name Tydabro quern, which referred to a mill on the river which flows through the town Tidan 1455th The name of the village is made up of the names of rivers and the Swedish word for bro bridge together. At the turn of 1946/47, and the parish was named, which was until then Kyrkefalla.

Tibro lies about 20 kilometers northeast of Skövde, between the lakes Vänern and Vättern. The place can be described as furniture center of Sweden. About 80 companies in this industry, including Mio, have settled here.
