The Linden Gelbeule ( tiliacea citrago ) or strip - Gelbeule is a butterfly of the family of cutworms ( Noctuidae ). The moth is like the bleach - Gelbeule ( Xanthia icteritia ) an outspoken autumn butterfly and fly between August and October.

Features

The forewings of tiliacea citrago are yellow to brick red. Two darker transverse bands differ significantly from the way the related species.

The gray- green caterpillar is marked with white lines and spots and, as the name suggests, by the end of April to June, for example, in winter Linden (Tilia cordata) and to find other Tilia species.

The eggs overwinter.

Occurrence

The animals are widely used in Central Europe, but nowhere more frequently.
