Sommerlinde

The Linde plants ( Tilioideae ) are considered a subfamily of (Malvaceae ). They include three genera and about 50 species (corresponding AGWebsite in other writers there are many more species in this taxon ). They are native only to the northern hemisphere, in temperate climates.

System

In the subfamily of Linde plants ( Tilioideae ) there are three genera with 39-50 species:

  • Craigia W. W. Sm & W. E. Evans, with two species in China: Craigia kwangsiensis HH Hsueh and Craigia yunnanensis W. W. Sm & W. E. Evans
  • Mortoniodendron Standlschmaus. & Steyerm. , With about nine species in Central America
  • Linden (Tilia L.): With about 28 species. In Central Europe, there are only two representatives: Small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata Mill )
  • Large-leaved lime (Tilia platyphyllos Scop. )
