Tillmitsch is a municipality with 3201 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Leibnitz district in the Austrian state of Styria.

Tillmitsch located in the western part of the field of Leibnitz in southern Styria.
Community structure
On 1 January 1968 the municipality Altenberg bei Leibnitz was incorporated. The municipality consists Tillmitsch so now from the cadastral (area 2001): Altenberg 256.29 ha, 251.96 ha Maxlon, Steingrub 81.84 ha, ha Tillmitsch 909.24 Villages (population 2011) are: Altenberg bei Leibnitz ( 199 ) Grössing (120) Maxlon (174) Neutillmitsch ( 1179 ), Steingrub (91) Tillmitsch links Laßnitz ( 1026) and Tillmitsch right of Laßnitz (379).

History
Tillmitsch was first mentioned in 1220 as " Tubnaz ". The local church as an autonomous body created in 1850. After the annexation of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

The coat of arms granted in 1973 shows: "In a divided by a narrow silver wave pole sign in front of three superimposed silver fir trees standing in green field, behind a red, silver grooved brick wall."
