Tilphussa

Tilphussa was in Greek mythology, a sacred spring in Boeotia, which was dedicated to the god Apollo. It was denied to every person to drink from her if he did not want to incur the wrath of the sun god to be.

The old seer Tiresias, however, exhausted from a long trip ( according to other sources a long flight) drank from the source and died on the spot. Near the sacred spring has a grave.

In Tilphussa also a nymph with the same name should live.
