Tim Blake

Timothy " Tim " Blake ( born February 6, 1952 in Shepherd 's Bush, London) is an Anglo- French musician. He is known for his contributions to the space rock bands Gong and Hawkwind and has also released several albums with his Crystal Machine Performance Project.

Life

Blake has lived since 1970 in France and founded by Philippe Denis, Crystal Machine studio where he experimented with synthesizers in particular. In the early 1970s he joined the band Gong, with whom he to 1974, which consists of three albums Radio Gnome trilogy, the central work of the band, recorded and was on several tours. Blake's contributions are particularly futuristic synth sounds that make up the space rock character of the music of Gong partially. In 1975 he had the first solo album Fish Rising of Gong guitarist Steve Hillage with.
