Tim Caldwell (skier)

Timothy John " Tim " Caldwell ( born February 4, 1954 in Brattleboro, Vermont ) is a former American professional cross-country skiers.

Caldwell participated in four Olympic Winter Games in part. The first time he started in 1972 in Sapporo, Japan at the age of 17 years. In single race over 15km, he finished 54th place with Mike Gallagher, Larry Martin and Mike Elliott in the relay to 12 in 1976, he raced in Innsbruck, Austria on 15 km and 30 km. He showed places 37 and 27 in the race over 50 km, it was at the start, but had to retire. Rank 6 he reached in the 4x10 km relay with Doug Peterson, Bill Koch and Ronny Yeager. In the U.S. Lake Placid, New York, he graduated at the Olympic Winter Games in 1980 the run over 15 miles and crossed the finish line in 25th place in the team with eight succeeded Bill Koch, Jim Galanes and Stan Dunklee. With Dan Simoneau instead of Jim Galanes Caldwell came in 1984 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegowine today, the same placement. In the individual race over 15km, he managed 39th place He also appeared in at three World Championships and was several times national champion over different distances.

Caldwell is the son of Skilangläufers and Nordic combiner John Homer Caldwell. He graduated in 1977 his history studies at Dartmouth College. He then attended the Georgetown Law School and earned a degree in law. In Hanover, New Hampshire, he worked as an asset manager.
