Tim Jackson (athlete)

Timothy David " Tim " Jackson ( born July 4, 1969 in Sydney, Australia ) is a former Australian sprinter who specialized in the 100 -meter run and internationally came into existence primarily as a relay runner.

In 1990 he was Australian champion in the 100 -meter run. At the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1993, he finished with the Australian 4 x 100 - meter relay team to fifth place. The greatest success of his career, he scored two years later at the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995. In the relay, he won jointly with Paul Henderson, Steve Brimacombe and Damien Marsh in 38.50 s the silver medal behind Canada ( 38.31 s ) and ahead of Italy ( 39.07 s ). The day before, the Australian quartet had set up in the semifinals with a time of 38.17 s a Ozeanienrekord.

Jackson took part in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta in part, missed the season but the finals because of a faulty.

Tim Jackson is 1.85 m and had a competition weight of 80 kg.
