Tim Murray

Timothy Patrick " Tim " Murray ( born June 7, 1968 in Worcester, Massachusetts) is an American politician of the Democratic Party, who was from 2007 to 2013 Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts.

Life

Murray graduated after attending the St. John's High School in Shrewsbury studies at Fordham University in New York City, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA). He then studied law at the Law School of the Western New England College. After his legal admission, he worked as a lawyer and was a partner in the law firm Tattan, Leonard & Murray.

His political career began Murray in local politics and was initially 1997 to 2001 Member of the City Council ( City Councillor ) of Worcester, and afterwards as successor to Raymond Mariano between 2002 and his replacement by Konstantina Lukes 2007 Mayor of Worcester.

January 4, 2007 Murray was elected as a candidate of the Democratic Party as the successor of the Republican Kerry Healey for Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts and holds the office of Lieutenant Governor from since. Murray was so representative of Governor Deval Patrick. On May 22, 2013, resigned as lieutenant governor and took over the role of CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Worcester.

Murray is married to the therapist Tammy Sullivan and has two daughters with this.
