Timothy Adam North " Tim " Payne ( born April 29, 1979 in Swindon ) is an English rugby union player. He plays as a pillar for the English national team and the London Wasps.

Payne came in 2003 to the Wasps, earlier, he had played for Bristol Shoguns and the Cardiff RFC. In 2004 and 2005 he won the English championship. In addition, the Wasps were victorious in the Heineken Cup. After the final in the Heineken Cup Payne was first appointed to the England team for their summer tour to Australia. It took two more years until he came to his second international appearance.

In the season 2006/ 07 Payne played 26 times for Wasps and was used in the Six Nations 2007 for England. He came here two appearances in the final games against France and Wales.
