Tim Ramholt

Tim Ramholt ( born November 2, 1984 in Zurich ) is a Swiss professional ice hockey player who plays for EV train in the Swiss National League A at the position Defender since 2013.

Career

Ramholt comes from the offspring of the GCK Lions, where he went through all junior levels. For the season 2001 /02 he moved to the Partner Team ZSC Lions, where he was able to complete his first games in the top Swiss league. However, it came in the first two years, in his parent club to operations in the National League B.

After he was drafted as a 18 -year-old NHL Entry Draft in 2003 in the second round by the Calgary Flames, is Ramholt decided to venture overseas and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles joined from the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL. The following season, he brought it in 51 games of the regular season to nine goals and 27 assists, but decided at the end of the season to return to Switzerland, where he was active a year each for the ZSC Lions and Kloten Flyers.

In 2006 he decided to give it a second try in North America. During the following two seasons completed Ramholt, who had been transferred within a few months in the calendar year 2008 by the Calgary Flames to Philadelphia Flyers and later in the organization of the Nashville Predators, for four different teams a total of 210 games in the American Hockey League, where he recorded a total of eight goals and 38 assists. Although he never had the breakthrough in the National Hockey League, he was allowed to attend an NHL game for the Calgary Flames.

In the summer of 2009 he returned to Switzerland and plays since the HC Davos, with whom he was Swiss champion in the season 2010/11. His good performances since returning from North America meant that he was called by coach Sean Simpson also the Swiss national team in November 2010.

For the 2013/14 season Ramholt was taken from the EV train under contract.
