Tim Sale (artist)

Tim Sale ( born May 1, 1956 in Ithaca, New York ) is an American comic book artist.

Life and work

Sale, who has spent most of his life in Seattle, studied at the University of Washington (State) and on the New York School of Visual Arts. As a full-time cartoonist Sale began working in the 1980s, after the DC editors Barbara Randall and Matt Wagner became aware of his work at a comic book convention in San Diego and got him on first engagements.
