Tim Sestito

Tim Sestito ( born August 28, 1984 in Rome, New York ) is an Italian- American ice hockey player standing since 2009 with the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League under contract and in parallel for their farm team, the Albany Devils in the American Hockey League plays. His brother Tom is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Tim Sestito began his career as a hockey player with the Plymouth Whalers, where he was active from 2001 to 2005 in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. He then finished the season 2004/ 05 at the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. After a year at the Greenville Grrrowl in the ECHL the defender was taken as a free agent on August 28, 2006 by the Edmonton Oilers under contract. In the following three years the links Sagittarius played almost exclusively for the farm teams of the Oilers, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League and the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. His only game in the National Hockey League for the Edmonton Oilers played the Americans on 26 November 2008 against the Los Angeles Kings.

On 9 July 2009 Sestito was transferred to the New Jersey Devils, for which he, in the AHL has since been in the NHL, as well as their farm team, the Lowell Devils and first since 2010, the Albany Devils on the ice.
