Tim Staffell

Tim Staffell ( born February 24, 1948 in London ) is an English rock singer and bassist.

He was part of the music group Smile, the predecessor band Queen. She was a student band, the trio Brian May (guitar), Roger Taylor ( drums), and Tim was Staffell (vocals and bass). Finally Staffell left in early 1970 the band and joined Humpy Bong. He was replaced by Freddie Mercury. This suggested to them a different name before: Queen. Staffells together with May -written song Doing All Right is on the Queen 's 1973 debut album included. Staffell expressed in an interview that he had never regretted his departure and Queen would never become successful with it as a singer, because he did not have the dazzling entertainer qualities of Freddie Mercury.
