Timbuktu (musician)

Timbuktu (debate. [ Timbɐktu ː ], Jason Michael Robinson Diakité bürgerl; born January 11, 1975 in Lund ) is a Swedish rapper and reggae artist. His music includes folk and blues, and West African elements. He comes from Skåne, the southernmost province of Sweden, and raps on Scanian. His lyrics are mainly of political issues.

Timbuktu began in the 1990s with the horse, and it was fast becoming a celebrity in the scene as well as Malmö, Stockholm and Copenhagen. The mid-1990s he formed the group " Excel" together with a Danish rapper. In 2000, he released his first album called T2: Kontrakultur a collaboration with Breakmecanix. This work is a double album with a half English and the other half of Swedish numbers. During the recording of T2: Kontrakultur he went on a concert tour with Petter and Thomas Rusiak. Timbuktu also has manchesmal collaborated with the Swedish hip-hop association Looptroop.
