Time Requiem

Time Requiem is a Swedish heavy metal band, their style is classical influenced progressive metal.

History

Richard Andersson founded the band in the summer of 2001, after he kept his old project Majestic closed. Andersson took Peter Wildoer, Apollo Papathanasio and Magnus Nord with the new band. Martin Wezovski was supposedly not good enough bass to play in a band like Time Requiem and was replaced by Dick Lovgren of Meshuggah. With this lineup the band in 2002 released her self-titled first album, Time Requiem.

In 2003, the band played in Japan. The concert was released on CD, Unleashed in Japan, it also contained new material.

After the live CD itself Wildoer concentrated on his thrash metal band Darkane and left Time Requiem. Lovgren had musical differences with Andersson and went also. The two were replaced by Zoltan Csörsz and Jonas Reingold.
