Timex Group BV is a watch manufacturer from the United States. The company's headquarters is located in Middlebury in the U.S. state of Connecticut. The company is privately owned. The company uses mainly works from its own development and production of their watches.
History
1854, the company was founded under the name of Waterbury Clock in Waterbury Naugatuck River Valley. This was in the 19th century, the stronghold of the U.S. watch manufacturer. Sister company Waterbury Watch manufactured in 1880 the first cheap pocket watch. The watches produced quickly became popular during the First World War. 1933 made the company under license from Walt Disney, the first Mickey Mouse clock.
