Timi Yuro

Timi Yuro ( born Rosemary Timothy Yuro, August 4, 1940 * in Chicago, Illinois, † March 30, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada) was an American soul and rhythm and blues singer.

Life

With her ​​family Yuro in 1952 moved to Los Angeles. There she sang in Italian local of their parents and in small clubs where she was discovered by talent scouts.

After she had in 1959 signed a recording contract with Liberty Records, their first Billboard hit single in 1961 Hurt listed at # 4, a cover version of the R & B ballad by Roy Hamilton.
