Timiskaming District
The Temiskaming District is an administrative district in the northeast of the Canadian province of Ontario. Capital is Temiskaming Shores. Its population is 32 634 (2001), the area of 13299.92 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 2.5 inhabitants per km ². The district was created in 1912 from parts of Algoma District of Nipissing District and the Sudbury District. 1921 a part of the Cochrane District was ceded to the newly formed.
