Timmy Pettersson

Timmy Pettersson ( born March 15, 1977 in Gislaved ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is under contract with the ERC Ingolstadt in the German Ice Hockey League since 2011.

Career

Timmy Petterson began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Västra Frölunda, for the first team he was in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, active from 1995 to 2002. In his rookie year, the 1995/96 season, he was with his team's runner-up. In summer 2002, the defender moved to HV 71 Jönköping, which he left after one and a half years during the season 2003/ 04, to sign the Sodertalje SK, while Jönköping was the end of the season the Swedish championship.

After the descent Södertäljes following the 2005/ 06 season Pettersson stayed in the Elitserien and signed the Capital Club Djurgårdens IF, for which he was on the ice in the next four years and with whom he was runner-up in 2010. For the 2010/11 season, the Swede was committed by the Russian club Severstal Cherepovets of the Kontinental Hockey League. For this, he scored three goals in 30 games and eight assists. For the following season, he joined the ERC Ingolstadt of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Internationally

For Sweden, Pettersson took part in the European Junior Championships in 1995 and the Junior World Championship 1997 part. At the European Championships he won the bronze medal with his team. Overall, he played for his country eleven junior international games in which he gave three assists.
