Timmy Simons ( born December 11, 1976 in Diest ) is a Belgian footballer.

Career

In the club

Simons began his career in his hometown Diest at KTH Diest. From there he went in 1998 to SK Lommel. In 2000, he joined the Belgian giants Club Brugge. By 2005, he ran for the FC Brugge in the Jupiler League in 111 games, and there was also sporting success: He was twice Belgian Champion (2003, 2005) and Cup Winners' Cup twice (2002, 2004).

2002 Simons was also elected Belgian Footballer of the Year.

In 2005 he moved to PSV Eindhoven. At PSV he held the position of team captain.
