Timothy M. Carney

Timothy Michael Carney ( born 1944 ) was an American ambassador, adviser to the U.S. government, representative of the UN, business consultant and is appointed for the construction of service of the U.S. government in Iraq.

In 1966, he earned a degree at MIT in the multiple system engineering. However, he had a great inclination towards languages ​​and went to France to study the French language. He also mastered the Thai language and the Khmer language. In 1967 he entered the service of the U.S. State Department. During the Vietnam War, he was assigned duties in Vietnam and Cambodia. Before the end of apartheid it was used in Lesotho and in the Union of South Africa.

In the early 1990s he worked for UN peacekeeping. From March 1992 to August 1993 he held under the UNTAC in Cambodia. Tasks within UNOSOM II he took in Somalia from December 1993 to February 1994 true.
