Tina Dietze

Tina Dietze ( born January 25, 1988 in Leipzig ) is a German canoeist and Olympic champion.

Career

Through her ​​aunt, who was Leipzig Transport training directors and trainer already in the canoe club in the sports community, they came at the age of five years for canoe racing. This was followed by national, regional and youth championships, where they did very successfully. The end of 2002, she joined the training group and was trained by Aaron Heuschmidt. Here they made ​​it into the junior national team of the German Canoe Association in the years 2004, 2005 and 2006. Having the check for the General university sports high school Leipzig took off in 2006, she joined the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr. She is now Staff Sergeant / Sergeant contender. 2007 and 2008 it was part of the U23 national team. In 2007 she qualified for the first time for the German canoe racing team in the performance category. The Canoe Racing World Championships 2009 in Canada Dartmouth Dietze was together with Carolin Leonhardt, Katrin Wagner -Augustin and Conny Waßmuth world champion in four-man kayak about 200 meters and finished second twice in the four-man kayak about 500 m and in the double kayak over 1000 m. The Canoe Racing Championships 2009 in Brandenburg / Havel they had previously secured their first European title in the performance class in the four-man kayak.

At the Olympic Games in 2012 Dietze reached in the German four-man kayak of women with Carolin Leonhardt, Franziska Weber and Katrin Wagner -Augustin over 500 m silver medal. In the double kayak over 500 meters, she won the gold medal together with Franziska Weber.
