Properties

Tin ( IV ) fluoride is a colorless extremely hygroscopic solid which dissolves in water with constant hissing.

The connection is made, such as lead (IV) fluoride from SnF6 octahedra are linked via common equatorial bonds each with four octahedra SnF6 to planar layers.

Use

Tin (IV ) fluoride is used as an additive for prevention of caries in tooth paste.
