Tiny Toon Adventures
The Tiny Toon Adventures ( Original title: Tiny Toon Adventures ) is an animated series from Warner Bros., which was produced in collaboration with Steven Spielberg in the early 1990s. The name " Tiny Toon " means tiny (English: tiny) cartoon character.
The figures (Tiny Toons ) are based on the world famous Looney Tunes from Warner Bros., such as Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck. Bugs Bunny has with Babs and Buster Bunny ( no relation) even two Tiny Toons that correspond to it.
Unlike other series of the time, acting with children characters from popular shows, such as the Muppet Babies, the Tiny Toons children versions of the originals, but independent figures who meet the adult Looney Tunes in the consequences. These occur as a teacher of ACME Looniversität visiting the Tiny Toons in their hometown Acme Acres.
Background
The series was produced from 1990 to 1992 and had three seasons with a total of 98 episodes, a video feature film length (total crazy holidays) after the Rights in 1993 went to FOX, 1994-1995 each a 45-minute Halloween and Easter special broadcast were produced.
In German-speaking first season of the series in 1991, was first shown only on pay- TV channel Premiere and Tele Club. From 1 October 1992, the free-TV premiere followed on ProSieben. The seasons 2 and 3 had its premiere in Germany in autumn 1994, also on ProSieben. Until 2000, remained the German rights at ProSieben from 2001 were the Tiny Toons on Sat.1, in 2004, still briefly ( Season 2 and 3) on cable to see one. The Tiny Toons was followed by the Animaniacs in 1993.
