TIPA (software)

The TIPA fonts ( TeX IPA or Tokyo IPA) by Fukui Rei is a complete implementation of the International Phonetic Alphabet for LaTeX. The writings fit in their appearance both to Computer Modern as well - with other parameters - to Times. The fonts are free software and available as Metafont sources as well as in PostScript Type 1 format.

The coding is similar set up so that the uppercase letters A- Z are frequently used phonetic symbols as in various versions of " ASCII - IPA ".
